First Show of 2026

with Headliner The Joshua Tree
(A Tribute to U2)

Taylor and I are excited to announce we will be opening for the incredible Joshua Tree on February 27th at the Aztec Shawnee Theatre in Shawnee, KS. This will be a great show in an amazing venue. If you love U2, you’re going to love The Joshua Tree.

The Aztec Shawnee Theater is one of Kansas City’s best live venues. There’s comfy seating if you want to just sit and listen, and plenty of room upfront to dance.

A third of our set is new songs, including the reimagining  of the 80s classic, “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” and Snow Patrol’s “Run.”  Plus a bona fide hit from Gracie Abrahms called “Close to You.”

Showtime is 7 pm.

NEW SHOW

with Headliner Material Girl

I am super excited to be playing another great show with Taylor. This time we are opening for one of KC’s great cover and tribute bands Material Girl. Material Girl is an amazing tribute band that performs a Madonna set as well as a Lady Gaga set. On this show, they will be playing a very cool variety set that includes everything from Michael Jackson to Journey!

Taylor and I will start around 7 pm and have some great songs ready including the Song of the Year!

The show is April 6th at the Bowery in Westport. This is a great venue with an awesome sound system. It also has dedicated parking which makes getting in and out very easy.

My new single is now available on all major platforms. I love how this song came out. It's a organic but feels modern enough as well. The video was shot a few months back and now it's in editing. I hope to have it out in a month or so. Please give it a listen and let me know what you think.

This single is a bit of a departure from my normal Indie Pop sound with a hint of latin flavor and groove. I hope you love it as much as I do. THE STORY

Where Indie Pop and the 80s collide!

Tye Murphy is a singer songwriter from the US. Tye composes and plays most of the instruments on all his songs. The music is a little bit Indie Pop and a little bit 80's.
The songs are catchy an uncommon in nature. Life is both a major and a minor key and the songs reflect that struggle between wrong and right, darkness and light.
